About

Nonfiction is the meeting of minds, not the accumulation of information. When readers choose to read a book instead of researching articles, they are looking for more than resources. A good book is an experience, a conversation, not a lecture. It’s the right balance between sharing what you know and leaving space for the reader to join you.
Many first-time authors struggle with how to distill years of insight into something that fits (and works) in a few hundred pages.
I work primarily with therapists and professionals in the humanities and social sciences who want to transform their experiences into nonfiction books that genuinely meet their readers. I especially enjoy collaborating with authors later in their careers on their first book. I know they really care about being useful and leaving something meaningful behind.
My Master’s degrees in English studies and philosophy trained me to notice and respect your voice, and to examine the structure of your ideas. I believe in collaboration; each book has its own internal logic and flow. What matters is dialogue and the commitment to discover that structure, not to impose one from the outside. A writer’s perspective is more than their ideas. It takes courage and vulnerability to be fully present on the page, and when you are, readers notice and care.
I’ve been called “a therapist for manuscripts”: someone who listens for patterns, and asks the hard questions gently to help bring disconnected parts together.
Take your time here. Browse the essays and resources at your own pace. If you would like to request an assessment of your manuscript, you can contact me here.
